Represented organizations nationally and internationally through public appearances, media outlets and through the development of PowerPoint presentations and training programs for national and international conferences, seminars and expositions. Developed and facilitated scores of training sessions throughout the past 20 years to diverse audiences, including: elected officials, law enforcement, military personnel, social services, architects, lawyers, grassroots activists and government employees. Additionally, researched and wrote monthly blogs and articles for national and international publications, e-zines and blogospheres.
Through Bake A Difference we have supported, through in-kind donations and fundraisers, several local charities, including: Pelatonia, Nina West Foundation, My Very Own Blanket, Stop Soldier Suicide, Luv4K9s, St. John's Church The Largest Table, LifeCare Alliance (Meals on Wheels), Ohio Suicide Prevention Foundation, Alzheimer's Association, Stonewall Columbus Veteran's Appreciation and Flying Horse Farms.

Served as Animal Logistics Chief during several natural and man-made disasters. Teamed with local, state and federal organizations in the rescue, housing and transport of thousands of animals in distress following the Cedar Rapids, Iowa flood, Hurricanes Katrina, Rita and Ike, Lisbon, Ohio animal hoarder, Parkersburg, West Virginia commercial dog breeder and scores of smaller rescues. Provided assistance with enforcement and response to animal cruelty violations and complaints; promotion and response to media opportunities; coordination and implementation of emergency and disaster response; collaboration with animal care and control agencies and humane societies.

building and lobbying
with legislators and government offices; development of activist
coalitions; contribution to government appointed committees. Secured the
defeat of House Bill 568 (ban ownership of pit bull type dogs in Ohio). Teamed
with animal welfare professionals to secure the passage of five bills into law,
including: House Bill 71 (established a 10 day disposition decision for animals
seized in cruelty, neglect and fighting). House Bill 45 (requiring
registration of exotic animals) became an Executive Order by Governor
Kasich in 2012. House Bill 70, Nitro's Law (Establishing standards for
treatment of animals at boarding facilities) became law in July 2013.
Legislation governing large scale commercial dog breeders and legislation
removing specific breeds of dogs as vicious by breed alone have also become law
in Ohio.
Represented multi-national
manufacturing company on an international scale. Traveled
globally - Australia, Europe, South Africa and Canada - to represent the
interests of the company on a legislative, alliance building and spokesman
level. Orchestrated and oversaw operations promoting and supporting
organization identity, image, reputation, and mission objectives; coordinated
and managed relationships with community leaders and organizations supporting
economic development, foundation support, and public policy influence; served
as media spokesperson addressing crisis communications; represented organization
to community groups and civic organizations.
Managed complex, large-scale special events, projects and promotions. Coordinated fundraising events including Pawde Monet Pet Art Exhibit, Walk for Books and Barks (with Dayton Public Library), Rover Rally (with Iams), and Woofstock; contributed extensively to existing fundraisers Furry Skurry, 5k walk and Pet Afflair; launched Pet Therapy Program with local nursing home (bring animals to interact with patients); increased adoption through expansion of televised Pet of the Week program. Served on several national and international associations and boards, including: Human Animal Bond Research Initiative (HABRI), PetSafe Ethos, Bark For Your Park national dog park contest, Electronic Collar Manufacturer's Association (ECMA). Morris Animal Foundation K-9 Cancer Walk, Miami Valley AIDS Consortioum and Southeast Priority Board.
